I am a Consultant Respiratory Physician with over 25 years of clinical experience in Respiratory Medicine, Sleep Medicine and General Internal Medicine. I currently practise within the NHS at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust and also provide private consultations through Circle Health Group.
My clinical practice is centred on delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care with a strong emphasis on clear communication, compassion and clinical excellence. I am fluent in both English and Tamil, enabling me to support a diverse patient population.
I have a specialist interest in sleep-related breathing disorders and lead the Sleep and Home Ventilation Service at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. My expertise includes the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), central sleep apnoea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome and parasomnias.
Alongside sleep medicine, I manage a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, chronic cough, bronchiectasis and recurrent chest infections. I also have extensive experience in pleural disease, lung cancer pathways, bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), pulmonary function interpretation and non-invasive ventilation.

I have undertaken medico-legal expert witness work since 2019, providing independent opinions in respiratory and sleep medicine cases. My work includes personal injury claims, occupational lung disease, clinical negligence and coronial inquest reports.
I hold the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate and prepare reports in accordance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), ensuring that all opinions are clear, impartial, evidence-based and clinically robust.
