Introducing Dr ZA: Consultant Respiratory Physician and Experienced Medico-Legal Expert Witness
We are pleased to present Dr ZA, a highly experienced Consultant Respiratory and General Physician and Bond Solon–certified Expert Witness, offering specialist medico-legal opinion in complex respiratory cases.
Dr ZA has been practising in the UK for over 15 years and currently holds a substantive consultant post at City and Sandwell General Hospital (SWBH NHS Trust). He leads specialist clinics in lung cancer, sleep and non-invasive ventilation, pleural disease, and general respiratory medicine, and performs advanced procedures including bronchoscopy, EBUS, medical thoracoscopy, and chest drain insertion.
Since 2019, Dr ZA has provided expert medico-legal reports covering respiratory and occupational lung disease, personal injury, trauma, industrial exposure, smoking-related conditions, and disability assessments. He offers expert opinion in areas including:

Dr ZA is actively involved in supervision, medical education, and clinical leadership. He is Lead for Sleep and NIV services at his Trust and played a significant role in designing respiratory support infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With clinic availability across the UK — and capacity to consider home and prison visits — Dr ZA accepts instructions for personal injury, clinical negligence, respiratory disability assessment, long-term lung disease, occupational exposure, and causation reports.
