I am Professor Shakila Thangaratinam, professor of maternal medicine. My expertise includes medico-legal work. I am interested in clinical trials, diagnostic research, evidence synthesis and evidence based medicine. My research is largely collaborative with national and international partners.
My interest and work in pre-eclampsia has led to NICE recommendations for tests with regard to the same. I have worked on NICE recommendations for epilepsy in pregnancy.
Professor Shakila Thangaratinam would be pleased to accept medico-legal instructions for cases concerning conditions in pregnancy.
