Hello, Dr IT Consultant Paediatrician with Specialist interest in Neurology in London from Medico-legal and neuroscience partnership. I am an expert Consultant Paediatrician with Specialist interest in Neurology in London with extensive clinical experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of neurodevelopmental disorders. My areas of expertise include ADHD, Epilepsy, tic disorders including Tourette syndrome, developmental delay, motor coordination difficulties and Autsim Spectrum Disorder.
I run specialist epilepsy clinics for children with complex epilepsy and coordinate a joint outreach paediatric neurology clinic as well, where children with complex neurological difficulties are seen by a consultant paediatric neurologist. I am also experienced in assessing children with concerns relating to physical abuse and neglect. I am proactively involved in training and research and have carried out international research on both child epilepsy and developmental disorders, which have been published in several international journals.
I qualified at the Prestigious University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria and then completed my general paediatrics training between 1992- 1997 before completing a Masters in Public Health. I also received additional training in paediatric epilepsy and neurology at the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. I completed an MSc in clinical neuropsychiatry at the University of Birmingham in 2014.
For my medico-legal work I have prepared expert reports for family and civil proceedings under single or joint instructions from Solicitors and attended court to give evidence. As a paediatrician, I have carried out assessments and provided expert reports on injury cases involving children. As part of my training for my medico-legal work, I have completed the modules on the Bond Solon/Cardiff University Expert Witness Course and attend regular training on safeguarding issues in children and young people.
