Hello, Dr SJ Consultant Muskoskeletal Radiologist in Birmingham here from Medico-Legal and Neuroscience Partnership. I am a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer with the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham, UK. I was appointed in 2006 after completing a fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London UK in Musculoskeletal and Spinal imaging with an emphasis on interventional techniques.
I have developed a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of sports related injury. I was part of the medical imaging team for the London 2012 Olympics. He works closely with a number of national and regional professional sports organisations. I have a strong research interest and have over 75 publications in peer reviewed scientific journals on Orthopaedic, Spinal and Sports injury related topics. I have edited 2 textbooks and written numerous book chapters. I regularly lectures at national and international meetings on musculoskeletal and sports injury related topics. I am now currently on the executive committee of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists.
I of course take on medico-legal work and work with the legal team to produce medico-legal reports. When preparing my reports I have clinical interests which are:
- Diagnosis of orthopaedic spinal and sports related injuries.
- Wide variety of musculoskeletal and spinal interventional procedures including; percutaneous biopsy and vertebroplasty
