Hi, Professor RS Bilingual UK Wide Consultant Neuroradiologist here from Medico-Legal and Neuroscience Partnership. I am the head of the Neuroradiology Department. I have built up the Interventional Neuroradiology department over the past 15 years. I am also the editor in chief of Neurointerventionalist, an editor of Neuroradiology and also of Patient Centred Care. I hold degrees in Psychology as well as medicine and uniquely in this country I am not only a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists but also the Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons. I have written extensively on neurovascular intervention with over 75 publications in the last 5 years including many contributions to books. I have also been awarded 8 prizes and scholarships for my academic work.
I grew up in India and Oxford. At school I wasn’t noted for any academic prowess but represented England in both rugby and hockey. I attended St Thomas’s Hospital and London University, graduating MBBS in Medicine and BSc in Psychology. In 1986 I was appointed Consultant Neuroradiologist and Senior Lecturer in the department of Clinical Neurosciences. The division has, over the past 20 years, built up an international reputation for its clinical service and research.
Alongside my current duties as a professor, I also work closely with the legal team at SM Legal Services to produce medico-legal reports and provide an expert opinion on radiology. The team are very helpful and ensure the reports are as perfect as they can be. The areas in which I specialise in are:
- Children and Adults
- Endovascular Management of Cerebral Aneurysms
- Brain and Spine Scanning / Imaging
- Stroke
- Cerebral Haemorrhage
- MS
- Paediatric Neurology
- Spinal and Spinal Cord Pathology
