Shakila Thangaratinam, Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Professor of Maternal and Perinatal Health



Shakila Thangaratinam has a strong interest in clinical trials, diagnostic research, evidence synthesis and evidence based medicine. Her research is largely collaborative with national and international partners.

Her interest and work in pre-eclampsia has led to NICE recommendations for tests with regard to the same. She is also currently working with one of the partnerships neurologists, Dr Dougall McCorry, on NICE recommendations for epilepsy in pregnancy.

Professor Thangaratinam would be pleased to accept medico-legal instructions for cases concerning conditions in pregnancy.
