Dr Tim Hull, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr Hull has substantial experience in neuropsychology across a range of settings. He has worked in neuropsychology with detained patients, in residential rehabilitation settings and in the community. He has extensive experience of assessment and treatment, involving patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, degenerative and dementing conditions. Dr Hull has also worked in a forensic mental health setting within the National Health Service, giving him broad and detailed experience of the legal system and its interactions with mental health and mental impairment services, and is a Registered Forensic Psychologist. Dr Tim Hull is currently the Consultant in Neuropsychology and rehabilitation with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) in Birmingham.

 

Medico-Legal Experience

Dr Tim Hull has prepared over five hundred medico-legal reports for the civil, criminal and family Courts, covering:

  • Effects of the brain injury
  • Mental health issues
  • Assessment of the level of disability caused
  • Suitability for rehabilitation
  • Determination of mental capacity
  • The fitness of impaired people to plead and to stand trial
  • Suggestibility and fitness for parenting
  • Cognitive Impairment
  • Capacity
